Resisted no more...

I had to go back to the dentist this morning for him to seat my permanent crown. As reward when I survive a round at the dentist, since I am on the right side of town for it, I stop at Nancy Knits, a yarn store which is not my favorite, but has a different selection entirely than Yarns 2 Ewe. I was on a mission today to get some Cherry Tree Hill sock yarn to make my darling another pair of socks. The first pair came out looking like socks, but there is room for improvement. Nancy suggested to me that I use size 1 or 2 rather than size 3 needles, so I got a set of size 2 DPNs also.

From Nancy's I decided I wanted some breakfast form Empire Cafe. They serve breakfast until 11 and it was 10:20, so I gave E a call to confirm that my planned route would be the best choice. I made it in time to order Italian toast which is French toast made with a hearty rustic loaf of Italian style bread. Crusty enough that they serve it with a sharp knife. Two inch thick slices served covered in fresh mixed berries. Definitely yummy.
i had brought my laptop with me, but they did not have wireless so I did some file clean up and journaling and then dug in when my food arrived.

Upon my exit I decided it was time to hit More Than Paper... I have resisted this store, even going inside tosee what they have, for several years. Today was the day and the store is packed. With papers. And cards. And pens. And...stuff. I don't think I should be allowed in there unsupervised.

No more retail therapy!

Wow...I came home from the dentist and slept most of the day. You had a much better time than I did.
